Kinan Alajak becomes Chair of the Board while Truchen Vorndran assumes day-to-day leadership

The English Academy for Newcomers is entering a new phase of leadership. After serving as Executive Director since the foundation's establishment in 2018, co-founder Kinan Alajak will step down from the executive role and assume the position of Chair of the Board.

At the same time, we are pleased to announce that Truchen Vorndran has been appointed as the new Executive Director and will take on responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the organisation. This transition ensures continuity and stability as EAN continues to grow.

With more than ten years of teaching experience across Africa, Asia, and Europe, Truchen Vorndran brings a global perspective and a deep appreciation for diverse learning communities to the role. As the outgoing Executive Director shared:

From the very beginning, leading EAN has been a deeply meaningful journey. As we enter our next phase, I step down with confidence and look forward to seeing EAN continue to grow under the leadership of our new Executive Director, Truchen. I know Truchen’s leadership is grounded in the belief that language learning is a powerful bridge to personal empowerment, employment, and a sense of belonging. The board and I look forward to continuing our work in support of newcomers across the Netherlands under this renewed leadership structure. — Kinan Alajak
