Groningen T1 - English Intermediate (B1)

Course Description

B1 – This course is for students who have already achieved an A2 level in English and wish to increase their level to B1. We will cover reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills needed for academic English. Teachers will also help students understand all aspects of the IELTS exam and learn some exam tips & tricks. Students who complete this level successfully (60% pass rate) can progress to B2. We aim to prepare newcomers to The Netherlands to excel at the internationally recognized English language proficiency exam IELTS. The program is designed for motivated students with a refugee background who are planning to pursue studies in the Dutch higher education system or take the next step in their career development. The program prepares students to take the IELTS exam for university entry or for work requirements. We offer four levels taught in 12-week modules. By the end of each level, the learners will have completed 48 hours of face-to-face classes and 90 hours of self-study, including the weekly assignments.
